SGA Peer Advisor Program
The SGA Peer Advisor Program serves to help new incoming SGA members better transition into the organization. Current SGA members volunteer their time to welcome new members to the SGA community and serve as a resource for the incoming class. Every new incoming SGA member will be partnered up with a SGA Peer Advisor who will help facilitate the transition process to create successful leaders at SGU. Peer advisors can also provide academic information from their own student perspective. They advise students on a range of topics, which are not limited to but may include, choosing classes, picking a major or specialty, and utilizing campus resources. They share the lessons they have learned as leaders of the SGU community. In the months leading up to the new semester, Peer Advisors will reach out to their peer advisees with helpful tips and suggestions on how to prepare for their transition into the SGU community.
